How to Apply
The Certificate Program in Literary Translation is open to both current students enrolled in the University of Connecticut and prospective students.
The Certificate Program in Literary Translation is open to enrolled students from all graduate programs at the University of Connecticut who can demonstrate proficiency or advanced reading knowledge in a language other than English. The application to the Graduate Certificate in Literary Translation Program is managed by the Program in Literary Translation. Once the course requirements for the certificate have been successfully completed, the certificate will be added to the student’s permanent academic record.
The application deadline is November 15th for January admission and June 26th for August admission.

Current Students
All University of Connecticut students enrolled in a masters or graduate program (with a GPA of at least 3.0) are eligible to apply for the Graduate Certificate in Literary Translation. There are two steps to enrolling:

- Contact Professor Constantine by email, outlining your experience and interest in literary translation: peter.constantine@uconn.edu.
- Apply for enrollment in the Graduate Certificate in Literary Translation through the Graduate School using the same application portal you used when applying to your UConn graduate program. You will need to create a new account. To begin the application process, click the link below.
Prospective Students
Students who are planning to study in any of the Masters or Doctoral programs at the University of Connecticut can also enroll in the Certificate Program in Literary Translation. Students who do not wish to enroll for a Masters or Graduate degree can enroll in just the Certificate Program in Literary Translation.
