German Club: UConn’s German Club is very active! German-speaking students meet on a regular basis to watch films, discuss current affairs, go on trips to New York or Boston and enjoy the food at German or Austrian restaurants in the area. Kaffeestunde: The graduate students in the German Program organize Kaffeestunde once every month during the semester – watch for flyers in the halls! This means coffee, cake and cookies (and other foods), music, and fun! Join us to get to know everyone, to talk in German (not a requirement!), to do a “Gesprächszettel” (popular among first- and second-year students) or to just hang out with students, faculty, and friends of German.
