Scholarships, Grants and Teaching Assistantships

Financial aid in the form of teaching assistantships, and tuition and fee waivers, is granted on a competitive basis. Both half and full teaching assistants may purchase excellent health-care coverage, heavily subsidized by UConn. Outstanding candidates are also eligible for pre-doctoral fellowships, summer fellowships, and general graduate school fellowships. Summer school teaching positions are available on a limited basis. Graduate student research for the doctoral dissertation is supported by the Research Foundation through dissertation fellowships and grants for specific research projects.

Forms for application and financial aid may be obtained by following this link to the Graduate School web site. Applications should be submitted by December 1 and should include GRE test scores (or TOEFL scores for foreign students).
