Heng Zhang


Heng Zhang is a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies at the University of Connecticut, working under the supervision of Professor Chunsheng Yang. His research interests lie in Generative Second Language Acquisition, Written Corrective Feedback (WCF), and the affective dimensions of language learning, including learner engagement and motivation.

His current work examines the comparative effects of human and AI-generated written corrective feedback on L2 Chinese learners’ writing development, and explores how educational technology can promote learner autonomy and foster more individualized, data-informed approaches to language learning.
