Eligibility The program is open to students who have successfully completed the equivalent of five semesters of Spanish with a "B" average, have a cumulative GPA of "2.5", and who will have at least sophomore standing in the year of participation. Preference will be given to students who will stay for the full academic year. However, students will be accepted on a space available basis for either the fall or spring semester. Applicants from institutions other than the sponsoring universities will be considered if space is available; such students should contact the University of Connecticut. (860) 486-5022.
